RaniMahal

Established at 1892 AD/1949 BS, Ranimahal is a spectacular heritage site built by Commander-in-chef and Governor Khadka Shamsher in memory of his beloved wife Tej Kumari. This architectural masterpiece includes huge main building complex surrounded by stone walls, decorated garden and small shrine stacked on a massive rock bed nearby the bank of Kali Gandaki River.

Ridi

Lumbini Sworgadwari Tour winds to Ridi, a picturesque village at Gulmi district. Ridi is nestled at the bank of Kali Gandaki River where small Ridi River joins and change its direction from north-east to west-east. In Sanskrit, Ridi means Ruru Kshetra. In winter, Ruru hosts saints, yogis and hrishis and Resunga offers a place for Yoga, meditation and arduous practice in summer. Mythological value defines, Hirshya-shringa, a horned sage medicated here and the hill Resunga is named after him. Spiritually popular Yagyashala (fire place), ancient temples, ponds and beautiful hill tower are the major assets of the place. In clear weather, it serves 1800 degree view of snow-capped mountain and the flat land Terai.

Lumbini

Sworgadwari

One among the sacred pilgrim sites of western Nepal, located at an altitude of 1,740m in the lap of majestic mountains, Sworgadwari boasts some of unrivalled credentials in the religious arena. This scenic milieu at Puythan district offers an unruffled ambiance along the subtropical forests, colorful rhododendron and vibrant settlements.

Sworgadwari is well-known for the Vedic Yagyan set up by Swami Shree Hansananda Giri Sworgadwari Mahaprabhu. It is believed that Lord Indra had also performed a Yagyan at this place in Satya Yug.

According to Hindu Mythology, Panch Pandava had performed holy rituals in the area of Swargadwai, on their way to heaven. So this place is named as Sworgadwari, “The Door to Heaven”. Local believes that the Sworgadwari Guru Maharaj was the re-incarnation of God.

Maha Prabhu Swami Hansananda Giri, in 1860, showed miraculous character at his childhood when he was just 6 days old by fasting for his mother’s diet of meat. In 1886, he started blessing devotees, infertile couple and make fortune telling. Later, at 1894, he moved to Sworgadwari and establish the Yagya Sala and Shiva Temple for holy pray.

“Akhanda Maha Yagya” at Sworgadwari lasts for 113 years and Lord Birhaspati from Heaven came to this holy land and complete the Maha Yagya. It is widely believed that performing Sworgadwari Tour fulfills all the wishes of the pilgrims and opens “Door to Heaven”.
