Among these is Bandipur, a beautifully preserved historic town renowned for its stunning architecture and postcard-perfect charm. Nestled amid breathtaking Nepalese landscapes, Bandipur exudes a distinctly European atmosphere.
As the highway traces the course of the Trisuli River, you’ll encounter a variety of riverside resorts known for their relaxed vibe, sandy banks, and exciting rafting opportunities. Add to that the cultural richness of Gorkha and the spiritual allure of Manakamana, and it’s clear that the journey itself is well worth savoring—not just the destination.
Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal (Altitude: 1,350m)
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Once you're settled, our representative will brief you in detail about your entire tour itinerary.
In the afternoon, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour covering two of the city's most iconic landmarks: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple.
Boudhanath Stupa:
Located approximately 2 km north of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath is the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the most significant Tibetan Buddhist monuments outside Tibet. Situated in the town of Boudha on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu, the stupa is a focal point of Tibetan culture and rich with Buddhist symbolism. Believed to have been constructed in the 14th century following the Mughal invasions, it holds great historical and spiritual importance. After the 1959 Chinese occupation of Tibet, thousands of Tibetan refugees settled around Boudhanath, turning it into a thriving center of Tibetan Buddhism. Today, it serves as a prominent site for pilgrimage, meditation, and tourism.
Pashupatinath Temple:
One of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal, Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and dates back to the 5th century. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, it has been a center of spiritual worship for over 1,500 years. The temple complex features a blend of spiritual and architectural wonders, including ancient statues of Buddha, Brahma, and other deities, as well as intricately carved temple gates. The main temple—with its two-tiered golden roof and silver doors—is considered one of the holiest shrines for Hindus. While entry into the main temple is restricted to Hindus, visitors can observe temple rituals and ceremonies from across the river. In recognition of its cultural and spiritual significance, Pashupatinath was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

If time permits, you may explore the nearby local markets or take a stroll through Thamel—Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist hub. Just a 10-minute walk from the city center, Thamel is a lively district filled with hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, bookshops, souvenir stores, cyber cafés, and travel agencies. It offers everything a traveler could need, including opportunities to connect with fellow adventurers.

After breakfast, you will depart for Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most picturesque valleys, located approximately 200 km west of Kathmandu—a scenic drive of about six hours. Nestled beneath the majestic Annapurna Himalayan range, Pokhara offers a rare blend of snow-capped peaks, crystal-clear lakes, serene streams, and traditional villages inhabited by warm and welcoming ethnic communities.
Known as a resort city of extraordinary beauty, Pokhara enchants visitors with its tranquil atmosphere. The peaceful waters of Fewa Lake, combined with the stunning backdrop of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), create a magical and serene setting. Historically, Pokhara was a key stop on a bustling trade route between India and Tibet, and today it remains a cultural melting pot. It is home to Magars and Gurungs, renowned globally as brave Gurkha soldiers, along with Brahmins, Chhetris, and Thakalis.
Upon arrival and hotel check-in, enjoy a boating trip on Fewa Lake to visit the Tal Barahi Temple, located on a small island at the lake’s center.
In the early evening, you are free to stroll along the lakeside market, sample local cuisine, and relax at your own pace.

Early Morning Sarangkot Sunrise Tour
Pick-up Time: 5:30 AM
Begin your day with an early morning excursion to Sarangkot, a hilltop situated at an altitude of 1,600 meters on the northern edge of Phewa Lake. The journey to Sarangkot takes you through lush Schima-Catonopsis forests, offering excellent opportunities for bird watching along the way. For those who prefer to hike, it’s about a 2-hour walk from the lake to the top.
At the summit, you’ll find several viewing spots and a lookout tower that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna range and the entire Pokhara Valley—especially stunning at sunrise.
After enjoying the sunrise, return to your hotel, stopping en route to visit the Bindhyabasini Temple, one of Pokhara’s most sacred and historic Hindu shrines.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu, covering a distance of approximately 232 km, which takes around 7 hours. Upon arrival in Nagarkot, check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your leisure.
En route, enjoy a drive-past view of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the most culturally rich historic sites in the Kathmandu Valley.
Nagarkot
Located 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 meters, Nagarkot is one of the most accessible and renowned viewpoints in Nepal for panoramic Himalayan vistas. It is especially famous for breathtaking sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. On clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of Mount Everest in the distance.

Patan Durbar Square
Located in Lalitpur, Patan is renowned as the City of Fine Arts. It boasts a remarkable collection of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, characterized by intricate carvings, bronze sculptures, and beautifully crafted gateways. One of the most iconic structures here is the Krishna Mandir, built entirely of stone in 1637 AD by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla. Patan reflects the harmonious blend of Hinduism and Buddhism and offers visitors a deep dive into Nepal’s rich artistic and spiritual heritage.
Kathmandu Durbar Square
A historic complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples, Kathmandu Durbar Square was once the royal seat of the Malla Kings. The area includes notable landmarks such as the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (home of the Living Goddess), and the Taleju Temple. Built between the 12th and 18th centuries, the square is adorned with cultural relics and a 17th-century inscription in 15 different languages. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it serves as a vital religious, social, and cultural hub of the city.
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)
Perched atop a hill, Swayambhunath is one of the oldest and most revered Buddhist stupas in Nepal. It offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and is a symbol of religious harmony, where both Hindus and Buddhists come to worship. The site features massive prayer wheels, intricate Tibetan murals, and the largest Buddha statue in the country. Legend holds that the stupa is over 2,500 years old, with historical evidence of construction dating back to 460 AD by King Manadeva. By the 13th century, it had become a prominent center for Buddhist learning and practice.
